Class Descriptions

Ages 4-7 Tap & Ballet

An age specific 45 minute class containing ballet, tap, and jazz/creative movement. The purpose of the class is to introduce young dancers to these three styles of dance and inspire movement and creativity within a positive environment. Dancers will also learn basic steps and terminology in all three styles. For example, all dancers will learn what a "plie" is and how to demonstrate one. The use of fun, age appropriate music engages the young dancers' minds and bodies. The use of props such as hula hoops for the "freeze dance" makes the end of class the most fun!

Beginner Tumbling

Our beginner tumbling class is aimed at younger students ages 5+ who are interested in learning the building blocks of tumbling. This class is perfect for your child who loves to tumble and has a lot of energy.

Level I Classes

Our Level I classes are geared towards dancers who have taken our combination classes, or are ready to try a more disciplined class with a deeper focus on ballet, tap, and jazz. Dancers will be required to take at least two of the three genres, but it is recommended to take all three. We will start building on skills learned in previous years, as well as introduce new terminology. Any dancer who is in this class will be offered a spot in our competition team if they choose to audition, and this class set is a great jumping block between combination classes and our more accelerated competitive program.

Level II Classes

Level II is intended for dancers on our competitive team who have progressed enough to meet the criteria for these classes. Typically, dancers in this level will have competed for at least one year, and be able to focus for longer periods of time and apply specific corrections. These classes will be fast-paced and dancers will need to consistently work hard and set goals for themselves. For Level II, we offer ballet, tap, jazz, and an encore class that will rotate between lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, and an occasional guest instructor.

Level III Classes

Our Level III classes are intended for dancers on our competitive team who have danced for many years, and have a solid technical background. These classes will be taught at an advanced level, and dancers are expected to work hard and push themselves in every genre. In our Level III suite, we offer ballet/pointe, tap, jazz, hip-hop, and a lyrical/contemporary class.
